Poll Etiquette

Many of you have recently written to report poll abuse on dPolls, and although we encourage and appreciate all of your emails, we thought it would be a good idea to clarify what we consider to be an “abusive” poll.

First of all, it is important to remember that many of the polls created here are exported to external sites and blogs; so what may seem to be an offensive poll might look perfectly normal if you click and view the poll in action. If you still think that a poll should be removed, let us know about it by clicking on the link on the bottom of the poll page, and please try to explain as clearly as possible why you are offended by it. We will only remove a poll if we find it to be truly offensive or abusive; we will not remove a poll simply because there is an adult theme to it. It is also important to stress that we will not remove polls that pose questions that certain users just don’t like or feel are unfair or incomplete for any reason; for example, if a poll is about favorite TV shows but does not list you own personal favorite, it will not be removed…
